THE INSIGHT

Behind every statistic is a person. Obesity isn't experienced in the same way by everyone.

Rather than relying solely on data to communicate the issue, the campaign uses character, movement and visual storytelling to bring the human experience to the forefront.

THE CONCEPT

The animation translates complex health information into a visual language built around people, movement and everyday experiences.

Illustrated characters become the central storytelling device, allowing information to be communicated through relatable situations rather than statistics alone.

The result is a campaign that feels informative without becoming clinical, and engaging without making light of a serious subject.

THE CHALLENGE

Obesity is often discussed through statistics, medical terminology and simplified narratives. But behind those numbers are people with different experiences, circumstances and relationships with their health.

The challenge was to create visual communication that could make a complex and often sensitive subject easier to understand without reducing it to a single story.

The animation needed to communicate information clearly while remaining approachable, engaging and human

THE VISUAL LANGUAGE

The visual style uses simplified characters, expressive poses and bold graphic forms to make a complex and sensitive subject feel approachable. Rather than relying on literal medical imagery, the illustrations bring personality and warmth to the information, keeping the focus on the people behind the message.

Animation then builds on this visual language, using character movement, transitions and visual transformations to connect ideas and allow information to unfold naturally. Movement becomes part of the storytelling itself, creating a clear visual rhythm that keeps the viewer engaged while maintaining a human and approachable tone.
